Suffering Is Real !

Tragedy, pain and suffering are a part of the world we live in.It is silly to be angry about it or agree against it. We do try to make these unpleasant things as few as possible. Doctors work very hard to conquer a disease. Governments , social groups and religious bodies do their best to eliminate the crushing burdens of poverty and the causes of unhappiness.
But death remains, sickness remains, many accidents occur, and people are unhappy because of them.It is not good to be sad  because of this. It is good to know what to do if we are caught in a web of suffering. It is good and useful to know what good there is in pain so that we profit from it if it comes our way.
GOD made the world in which there is death and pain and suffering, but GOD is good so there must be good to find in such unpleasant things, we must look for that good. When troubles come ,we do not like them. After they are gone we sometimes realize that were good for us. Sickness, death, accidents, poverty, failure, all such things are hard. They are also challenges. They block the way. We have to find ways to get round over them, or ways to use them.Life for grown -ups is always struggle , so the most successful are those who learn early how to beat their troubles.
We are not made just to live and die.GOD has given us a higher purpose to come to know and love HIM personally. All our life is spent in preparing for that higher and better life, and everything tat happens to us is a means we can use to help us reach our practical aim.
If we realize that pain, suffering .losses and disappointments are somehow gifts , to be used,we shall be able to use them to help us to become masters of ourselves and servants of GOD.

The Secret Of Success

The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy,if there were no limitation to overcome. The hilltop fours would not be half so wonderful,if there were no dark valleys to transverse.

It is often that life comes up to our expectations. But, we must face all our fears ,disappointments, hardships and sorrows with a smile instead of avoiding them, for the one who loses wealth doesn't loses much, but the one who loses courage, loses  all and so it can be rightly said that"The hardest moment of life is not when we lose everything and tears comes out of our eyes but it is when we lose all our strength but still manage to smile.

If we face obstacles with a defeated attitude and permit them to control us,our failure is  inevitable. If  we meet them with courage to go on in spite of the the differences and difficulties.Try just once more every time you fall.

"Life is queer, with its limits and turns,
                             As everyone of us,sometimes learns,
Don't give up,though the pace seems slow,
                             You may succeed,with another blow."

Women's EducationThe

The woman of any country have an important contribution in the progress of the country. It is  the woman who are capable of building such children who may lead the country to the path of progress and prosperity. Educated women makes the society and family cultured.

In ancient India, education of woman had  made a great progress.Woman not only studied the Vedic literature, but famous woman such as Maitreyee, gargi, Ghosha,Lopa,Mudra, etc, had themselves composed Vedic verses. After the Vedic period, the Education of woman achieved encouragement during the Buddhist period also. But this condition of women's education could not continue for a long time. After the decline of Buddhism, when the revival of Hinduism started, women's education suffered a major setback.

During the Medieval Period also, only the few girls acquired some knowledge in their early childhood and most of the women were all together deprived of higher education.

Only some individual efforts were made to educate women in the early 19th century by some Roman Catholic Missionaries.

But, after the Independence of india in 1947,leaders paid special attention towards the expansion of women's education in the country.Yet there is a great disparity men and women in the field of education.

India is beset with many social evils and superstitions. There are still many Indians who are of the view that there are no need of educating the girls because ultimately they are to be married and have to go with their husbands to do domestic work thereafter. On the other hand, the financial condition of the Indian families is still not very sound.A huge sum of money is required for education. Also, there are lack of girl's schools and colleges and Women teachers.

I would conclude with saying that our aim is to bring the women of this country at par with men in the field of education.A country where women's education is dis graded can never make progress. The western world has achieved so much progress because equal importance has been given there to the education of women. The expansion of women's education will lead to the disappearance of many superstitions that are still prevalent in Indian society and can make India progress.

Education ---Its Consequences And Impact On Culture.

In the narrow sense culture means that man-made social organization which promotes specific habits of thinking and living, specific habits of social interaction, specific ways of eating, dressing and living, religious and scientific belief and various material objects together with political and social customs, traditions and patterns of behavior  which cumulatively satisfy the needs of human beings.

Culture is that complex whole that consists of every thing we think,do and have as members of society. In each society,Culture is of two types: a)Material Culture and, b)Non-Material Culture.
Material Culture includes things of physical welfare and Non -Material Culture includes all those ideals, attitudes and values which modify the behavior of an individual.

Education and Culture are intimately and integrally connected.Hence, the culture pattern of society conditions its educational pattern.Culture is the sum-total of acquired traits. It is also a product of different entity.A culture is good if it has some utility to the individual as well as to the society. If it does not fulfill this purpose,it decays and dies out in the long run.Hence, one should see and adopt the cultural beauties and excellencies of all the cultures that exist in the world.Only this vitality and welcoming attitude can promote the development of world culture which leads to international brotherhood. The prime need of our society is the cultural integration.Education and Culture are intimately and integrally connected, hence, it may be safely asserted that the culture of a country has a very powerful impact on its educational pattern. This material influence is being discussed in the following lines.
When material culture develops at a fast pace due to scientific researches and inventions, non-material culture consisting of ideals, values and norms lag behind creating a gulf between the two.

Education is the only means to bridge this cultural lag by its activities and pro grammes of development.

It is clear from the above discussion that whereas on one hand, education cultured an individual, on the other hand ,it preserves, transmits and develops the culture of a society. In short, education and culture are mutually interdependent complementary and supplementary in all their aspects and activities.

Where Are We Going ?

Where are we going? Sounds strange? Well, may be I can answer this question by asking another question.Have you ever noticed how a mountain changes as you approach it? From afar you see only a shape. As you come nearer, valleys and ridges appear, and later trees and rocks. When you come very close you can no longer see the whole mountain, but you see the part close to you very well. If you want to climb the mountain, you will do well to pick the best way when you can still see the whole of it.
Morality or the Moral Science is like such a mountain. We know that GOD made us, that HE loves us and wants us to love HIM so that He can Reward us.We. therefore must learn how to keep the right direction towards the top of the mountain. We have to always remember where are we going in life------towards GOD.Let us imagine that we carry walkie-talkie radios with us as we climb the mountain. We can  adjust our position and receive directions about the way we should take, and about what to do in difficult situations or when something goes wrong. Prayer is our 'radio communication' with God .Try making some short prayers. Think of something or someone , Write it down.Write after it in your own words, talking to GOD, how wonderful HE must be to make all this and how happy you are to know that HE has made it. Then thank God for it and ash HIM to help you make the best use of it.
It is the most important thing in life to know GOD.By knowing God ,we find out the reason for our life and the best way to live in. Morality again is the ladder to achieve  it.
Another way of looking at Moral science is to compare it to a picture. Moral science is like a picture that is already made, but only in outline. It has God and His Creations.A serious sin is like spilling paint over the picture. A small sin is like a stroke. It is not so  bad but it has to be removed. If we are so careless as to make many false strokes and not repair the damage, our picture will look very strange and abstract. Then we would we be in a very unhappy state. Moral Science will always be able to help us in our own way, and GOD, the master artist, will always help us by removing the stains, provided HE sees that we are really sorry and determined not to make the same mistakes again, I would like to conclude with the hope to learn what is true and right from the Great Science Of Morals and Of Course, GOD.

Life

Life is a pleasure,
Full of adventure,
Life is a race,
Which we have to face,
Life is a dream,
Flowing like stream,
Life is a battle,
At times may be fatal,
Life is long,
Fill it with a song,
Life is rough,
Fill it with Love.

Failure

Failure does't mean---that you are a failure,
It means---you have not succeeded.

Failure doesn't mean---you accomplish nothing,
It means---you have learned something.

Failure doesn't mean---that you have been a fool,
It means---you had a lot of faith.

Failure doesn't mean---you have been disgraced,
It means---you were willing to try.

Failure doesn't mean---you have wasted your life,
It means---you have reason to start afresh.

Failure doesn't mean---you should give up,
It means ---you must try harder.

Failure doesn't mean---you will never make it,
It means---It will take a little longer.

Failure doesn't mean---GOD has abandoned you,
It means---GOD has a better way for you.

The Power Of Prayer

Before I start to express my personal view about the Power of Prayer, let us first throw a little light on what actually is Prayer.
Well, Prayer is talking to God with love and affection, often asking for things from Him and sometimes asking for forgiveness. If we are truthful with ourselves, we know that every day we do many that we should not do.It is not hard to make a list. Here is a beginning :being angry, telling lies(plenty of small ones), saying bad things about others, being lazy, forgetting to say our prayers, not thinking of what we mean when we pray or not thinking of God when we pray, not listening to our parents and elders, bossing others who are less than us,and wanting to have everything in our own way.
Whenever we do something wrong we do it against God.He made us to do what is right. When we do wrong it is because we do not listen and follow what God has told us to do.
Because we do wrong, we need forgiveness. And to obtain forgiveness, there is Prayer. In it we tell God of our love for Him and of our sorrow for having offended Him.We ask Him to destroy our sin and help us not to sin anymore.
We cannot deceive God. He knows if we really mean it when we say we love Him and are sorry for offending Him. He knows our thoughts when we are thinking of them.
We ask God for forgiveness through Prayer. We cannot expect to be forgiven if we do not forgive people who hurt, or offend,or displease us.That would be asking God to be generous when we are selfish.
If you practice forgiving small things, you will be able to forgive something big if there is need. And Prayer helps us to realize this fact.
Our Prayers need not be long.a short loving thought of God is better than a long prayer done carelessly or out of mere habit.
